Sod is a fully mature lawn grass that is grown at highly specialized farms. Good quality turf sod can form an established lawn in 3-8 weeks and after sod is installed. There are many advantages to sodding including:

Caring for your new sod: Watering is vital in having a healthy, successful lawn. Newly laid sod should be watered each day until roots have been established which can take two to three weeks .You can start mowing in three to four weeks. Be sure to let your lawn dry up a little before you mow. You will want to put your mower on its highes setting and try to go easy around corners so you don't pull up or damage your sod.
